Why TMS is
different? It’s not about who has caused the most hurt, destroyed a family or sabotaged a successful business... It is about facing the truth about what exists today so that a plan can be made for tomorrow. From that plan hope and positive action are possible. I believe in the mediation process. I understand that a conflict can permeate all areas of life. I take the time to thoroughly answer questions and work through issues so that the routine of daily life can continue in the midst of a conflict. Whether it is in a divorce, family, small business, church or civic group, my goal is to aid parties in voicing past disputes, being heard, and making changes. The end result is an understanding between parties which leads to a collaborative approach to resolving problems, while identifying options which will encourage hope and redefine futures. Although it is extremely helpful to know the law, the role of a mediator is not to give legal advice. The purpose of mediation is to help parties examine their options, communicate their needs and form a mutual agreements that best meets those needs. As a Credentialed Distinguished Mediator, I have successfully mediated cases involving contract disputes, sexual harassment, property ownership, real estate disputes and service agreements. However, my Mediation practice is focused in the area of family systems: specifically divorce/custody and church conflict. Mediation can serve as a springboard for healing. It can be the beginning of recreating hope and a plan for the future. Whether it is in the professional setting of business or more personal relationships in a family or community, mediation can aid in repairing relationships allowing us to move on to the next step in our life. |
